Where can I buy the 3 pt part of an implement?

/ Where can I buy the 3 pt part of an implement? #21
i have made several round bale forks. a rear blade. a carry all. a goose neck trailer mover. all 3 point hookup. i used some square tubing for the frame. just make a T. turn it upside down and you have a 3 point frame. weld a bracket for the top bar and a couple brackets for the pins put some braces on it and you are ready to put whatever you want to build on it. if you can build the tool then you can also build the frame.

All of you, thank you for your ideas it is much appreciated. I do like the idea of making it where the tool bar is removeable and maybe creating a multimount system for more than one type. Again thanks for the help

For those of you chastising my response to short kid please go reread his post and see if you were told to go read the signs and descriptions at TSC (which by the way he is correct are there) but in fact the part and name I was looking for are not. His post was rude and in no way contributed to the thread.

Well I guess the fact that no one else agrees with your response means they all must be wrong and you are the only one who understands the post correctly.

Try to relax Rick, you are among friends here, and we are only trying to help.

Yes because this is constructive and I must have overlooked how it contributed to the question and the topic

seems to me the last time in TSC there was a big sign above the shelf describing all the 3 point parts by name and pictured also. JUST SAYING.

I'm very relaxed, and very thankful for those that provided valuable insight, feedback, and a myriad of options. That is what this site is great for. Each of my responses to anyone I have responded to I have tried to be helpful. Granted in my very limited capability as I am new to all of this. The quote above met none of the criteria and I responded in kind.

Besides, I am ok with everyone else being wrong :D

Where can I buy the 3pt mount parts for making an implement? It can be a kit that I have to weld up or can be the basic piece. I have been searching and searching for the 3pt mount parts but am either using the wrong terms or just suck at searching Google for it :)I am looking to build my own hiller. The reason I am wanting to purchase this part is simply for time savings and would get something semi standard vs. hand making this part.

Thanks
Rick

Try AGRA SUPPLY or Northern Tools. I hope I have the names correct. There is an AGRA SUPPLY in Greenville NC ..........TCZ Wright

I was sadly taken aback by the chastisement that was directed toward Wa11banger for his responses to the TSC advice given. TSC in our area (suburban Toledo,O) has gone from some rather respectable farming/gardening parts to more of a Pet supply and small animal feed and straw. The young lady's working there are very courteous but the store has drastically downsized its inventory for agriculture /tractor/implement parts. They do have a picture on the wall above the bins that have the various pins/lift bars/etc but .little in detail.
Sorry, I don't mean to add any discord here, but be kind to us old timers (78) who love to garden and fool around out in the fields and from all my post you can readily surmise I haven't the foggiest idea of what I am doing, but I nonetheless love what I am doing and certainly rely and thank all the help and advise TBN has provided. Go to CAR TALK and see the continuous put downs and ugly talk...horrific.

While on my tour of duty in Viet Nam 69-70, our favorite response to all dilemmas was: "Don't worry, nothing is going to turn out all right."

I thought your response was appropriate.

If you can make the implement you can sure as heck make the "3PT part".

So, go back to TSC, look at the parts and buy the ones you need. It really is that simple.

Shopping list: You need three pins.

Thanks for the support guys.. I don't mind being a D*&k back and its ok if someone chooses to be one to me. I will however as you see respond in kind.

David and bcp thanks for those links. I can see future potential for the one you found for me David and I had seen those before but not put two and two together :D

bcp, now that is exactly what I was looking for so thank you very much. I really didn't think it was going to be so hard to find a kit like that I really thought before this posting that they would be at every AG shop etc.

Mr HE, Although I have the capability to build one from scratch I wanted to start with something known or standard and go from there as I worked future projects. Honestly the biggest reason for wanting a prefab kit was I have 4 implements and each of them has a different span and size.. I was looking to hopefully find a standard. ;) Live and learn I guess.

trblshuter, someone pointed me in that direction before and you are right that is a great price I actually might go that route if I can find one local since shipping would more than likely be expensive on that.

Thanks again for all your input, truly awesome. I have the toolbar built and ready to install on a 3pt mount. Potatoes went in the ground last weekend so in a few months we should see how it worked or if I failed miserably :)

I read back through the thread. I guess I missed the perceived slight :confused3:

Me too. Seemed like someone tried to help in a manner already discussed, OP unnecessarily flipped out on someone trying to help, cue drama.

Oh well.

You have to be blind to not see the sarcasm in that kids post, he was being a smart ***, as far as I am concerned the op was justified in saying what he said, I would have probably said worse
