Ok besides the obvious using it when its mudy ect, does it hurt anything to use it when you want extra pulling power? ie plowing, box blading, pushing piles ect??
I leave all my tractors in 4wd.Ok besides the obvious using it when its mudy ect, does it hurt anything to use it when you want extra pulling power? ie plowing, box blading, pushing piles ect??
Thanks for the replies.
If you have hills with wet grass or loose gravel or doing FEL work... I would leave it on all the time. Tractors have only rear brakes and when you use 4wd the front tires are now tied to the rear and help in braking. Plenty of run-a-way tractor stories...
It also helps with traction when pulling implements. Does it hurt to leave it on all the time? I don't think so, except for driving on pavement...
