When Closing a Thread

Seems like I remember, used to, when a thread was closed, the reply button was non clickable?

Now the Reply is clickable but takes you to your home page. Thats all fine and dandy, unless you try to reply to a message before you read where it's been closed. Looks like it would be better the old way.

Yeah I like the old way also. But it's not a big problem for me with the new way.

What I find funny is that the thread about not reviving old threads has the reply button sending to home page instead of allowing any more posts, or informing anyone that it's closed.
I thought there wasn't going to be any closing of old posts to avoid new thoughts/ideas being added (at least according to the owner's post in that thread), not just fluff. Not that it's a big deal, but what an ironic post to close and not even mention that it's been done. John

Just an FYI for the newbs...You can tell if a thread has been closed even before opening it by looking at the leftmost icon in the list of threads. If there's an X through it, the thread has been closed. See attached. The top thread is open, the bottom one is closed.
