ordered a set from Hoye for the 240D.....anything special about the install?.....
We have seen that just a couple of times and I have not really nailed down the reason. It has only happened on the '02 or '20 series that I'm aware of and only on a few of them. None of the '20/'02 parts tractors we have here required any modification.I had to file off a bit over 1/32 of the lip, symmetrically all the way around, for the wheel to slip on.
If your tires are ballasted with water or similar they are going to be scary heavy, so drain if possible.
Set both brakes hard and loosen the lug bolts a little before raising the tractor. Block the front wheels so torquing the lug bolts can't propel the tractor off your jackstands.
If you have one, use a torque wrench to get the adapter-to-hub bolts to the right torque. I would also use blue (non-permanent) Loctite on those. And torque the lug bolts to spec.
That's it, it's a simple project.
