Tip:
Torque you wheel nuts/bolts at least yearly , damage to wheel lug holes from loose lugs isn't covered under warranty , and it's not a cheap fix . My XR4040C shop manual specs wheel nut/ bolts 16mm [5/8] torque to 131 - 145 foot pound . A torque wrench with 12 inch extension and 24mm socket is a lot cheaper than a wheel /stud/bolt replacement....

Even if the dealer had done it, you’re still supposed to retorque at every service interval.
I found that none of the lug bolts on mine were properly torqued as delivered. Some were close, some were way looser than required. I have calibrated SnapOn torque wrenches, so I know they are correct now.

The dealer? Who's checking loader bolts, tire pressures, etc?

Thanks Kc8ehd! (call sign?) Reminds me that I need a maintenance journal to keep up with service on more than one machine, and to be sure that's a top item if I don't. Some service shouldn't just be timed with fluid change, esp on 'backups' that don't see 50 hrs/year.

btw, I hire neighbor kids to check 40+ tire pressures weekly. Nothing wrong with putting psi and nut/bolt torque on rims with a paint pen.

That's a great idea , just marked mine , all wheels on the XR 4040 have the same torque. I do however run higher tire pressure in the front than rear [36 psig front 16 psig rear]
