What's wrong with Canadians?

That Canadian trend on weather surprises me because people need actual temps. However, when I want to brag to my wife, it's great to tell her it feels like 110 I've been out working in. But I can make that up!

TV and radio news folk do talk fast and have a sense of urgency. I think it keeps an audience more riveted. I also think they've gotten more hyper.

When Hurricane David hit our county in Florida in 1979, my Dad had a heart attack. He was 10 miles inland so flooding was unlikely, though wind could be bad. He'd always said when we lived on the beach that a direct hit at high tide would take us out. Turned out, he was right many years later. But David turned out not so bad.

Now I am old. And noticing that I get much more anxious when something like "snowmaggeden" is on the way. I decided during the news buildup for it last week that I would avoid TV and radio weather and just use the print report online.

Only disgusting if you prefer men over women....
Some folks just don't care for erotic dancing...personal values and no need to criticize...
Now me, a 10 year Navy vet and 100% pervert...I loved strip clubs back in the day
Of course, I'll probably go to Hell when I pass on...

The problem with Canadians is that they are too darn smart. Ask a Canadian to name all fifty of the US States and most can do it. Most "Americans" can't name more than three Canadian Providences. :)
I guess you know, my brain won't be satisfied until I try to write out the names of the fifty states.

They do that here when bridges freeze over. Someone always panics and slams on there brakes. They slide till they are off the bridge and then suddenly stop.

Everyone following behind them stacks up like an accordion.
So you're saying it does work to slam on the brakes when on the ice? 😄

Speaking of bridges, i had a rig that apparently had a slightly sprung frame. I remember the first time i drove over a frozen bridge on the highway, it made a little jerk as it transitioned from dry pavement to ice on the bridge, it slowly drifted to the lower side of the bridge. Fortunately, nobody else around, but scared the heck out of me.

I don't know much if anything wrong with Canadians; I do know that you gotta be tough to live through those kinds of Winters, and I do know a certain percentage of our celebrities have Canadian roots.

I do know one thing that is right with Canadians; when the 9-11 disaster happened, they pitched in, handled our air traffic, landed them all safely, and took care of the stranded passengers like they were family. This tells me what they are made of. Thank you Canada!
