What\'s up for the future of the Power Trac line?

I am wondering if these guys are entertaining a small diesel or something with a little mor HP in the 425?

Don't expect any motor upgrades to the 422 or 425. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
I asked Terry the same question when I went to visit the plant in June. Not enough room to install a diesel engine.
The cost to install a diesel engine into these models would also increase the cost to that of the 1430.

They already have it, the PT1430. The 30hp Deutz is about the same price as a 18 to 25hp diesel and is shorter than most, therefore how can you make a smaller or less expensive diesel than the 1430. According to my conversations with Pt they have tried at least 4 small diesels and found nothing better than the 30hp Deutz.
One thing they have tested is the 30hp Generac gas engine, which I drove and liked very much, but I understand Generac has some muffler testing to complete.
Another thing to consider is not overpowering the other systems on the 425. Thats why I beleve the 1430 is the best solution to a small PT diesel.
If you can find a smaller and less expensive 30hp diesel compared to the 30hp Deutz, I understand PT will try it.
