Different generation. Target viewers today would find issues with the shows/people/viewpoints of the past, just as our parents found fault with what we watched/how we dressed and looked// our opinions.
Times change. Less than a century ago women were scorned for wearing anything except a dress or skirt.

It all started when they gained the right to vote. Things have been going downhill ever since then.
