Assuming all goes according to Hoyle, soon we will be adding 2.65 acres of horse pasture to the 3 acres we already have. This 2.65 acres is not fenced in so this will be one of my first jobs after we settle.
We presently have a 10 year old Work Horse garden tractor and I am looking to buy a 'real' tractor. I was considering the BX2200 with FEL, 60" MMM, and a box scraper. I was also thinking about buying a post hole digger to speed up the fencing project.
I havn't seen the deed to the 2.65 acres but accoring to my computations it'll take about 170 posts, hence the idea to buy a PHD.
Comments/suggestions about the BX2200 as configured would be most welcomed.
BTW, the 2.65 acres is in corn right now and the farmer used herbicides to kill the grasses before planting corn (I know because some of it ran onto my backyard, killing the lawn). Is there anything I need to be concerned about? A local farmer (we buy our hay from them) offered to plow, disk and plant the field for us.
Thanks,
Mike
