What size bolt/pin for Cat 1 3pt QH top HOOK

Lost the top hook on my quick hitch. I am ordering a new one and would like to use some type of hitch pin rather than bolts. Can you tell me what size pins I need for a Cat 1 application?

I bought this pin kit from Ken's. Works perfectly. I think they even have the dimensions on their site now:

The top-link bolts/pin is 3/4 diameter. The bushing that fits the top hook on the quick hitch that you have pictured is 3/4 ID and 1-1/4 OD

Those holes are 1/2" on my top hook. I think bigtiller is referring to the wrench size on a 1/2" bolt head.

I was in a different hole. But you're correct, the bolts that hold the hook to the hitch are 1/2". The pin that holds the top link to the hitch are 3/4" . And the hook uses a 1&1/4 OD bushing.

I think I misunderstood the OP's question.

I hate to think that I will likely find the missing top hook when bush hogging again. It's in the grass somewhere.

I was going to reply to your message yesterday and tell you how unlikely it would be for me to find the top hook given that I have 15 acres and had run all of it with the tractor. No way would I have tried searching with a metal detector

Then today I got out of my truck and walked to a tree so I could continue my phone call in the shade. While on the phone I looked down at my feet and there was my top hook. No looking required.

Do any of you run the bush hog without the top link connected? If so what are the pros and cons? I found that the cut was better without the top link on.
