What is this thing?

Our T5C is all yellow except for a red piece of channel iron held to one of the uprights (roll protector)
by a steel pin. Obviously meant to be taken off quickly for use; we've given up guessing what it is,
and don't see any mention in the handbook. Thanks

Is it a safety to be put over the cylinder on one of the rams for the loader?

To be put on the loader cylinder if you have it raised in order to service the machine like in this example. Otherwise, a sudden loss of pressure loader crashes down on person.

Yup; that's what it is; many thanks, dusty3030 and the others. I will have to learn how to add pictures. Is this standard equipment
on all their machines, or is an extra someone added or ordered?
