What is the light for?

All you Mahindra Gurus out in Cyberspace- Got a headscratcher for you.

5500 4WD, old style with shifters on top of tranny, has a green light bottom right of tach (at bunny feet) that comes on intermittently when in work clothes.
Not running too hot, oil is fine, RPM@ 15-1800, fuel level good, amps good.
It blinks every now and again - what is it telling me?

If I recall correctly it is simply telling you the important fact....That your hour meter is working. Perhaps someone else can verify
