When I was a little boy playing in the farm shop in the 1940's, there were a dozen or more things about this size and shape in one drawer of the toolbox. They were very lightweight, like aluminum or magnesium. Color was a very dull, flat gray. All sides were equally smooth. I think there were several sizes. Size was about one inch by two inches. I have never seen any since then. There was a recently deactivated air base in the area, so there was a lot of surplus stuff around. Tractors maintained were JD and Farmall, and various cars and trucks. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Bruce

Could be steel clips that held shelving on them, the right hand part locks into the side frame and the flat part would hold the shelf.
