added a stabilizer kit to rear to replace turnbuckles, same as @hube2 uses.

I tried those too Dave, and they work great with a fairly level implement. But I had a problem with them while using my back blade and top-n-tilt at a large angle. The reason is that the stabilizers try to follow the angled lower 3-point arms and then the other end at the "plate" gets twisted.

Good luck, Dick

generally don't deal with large angles but the adjustable lift links both sides (also kubota) combined with multiple pin holes where they hook to lift arm should give me all the play I need.I also use pats quickhitch and have enough play there to give room, not bound by the ball in lift arms. but its 10 minutes to swap back to stock if needed :)

I haven't posted here in a while, basically I've been moving snow almost every day, many days it is twice a day, either it's snowing or the wind is blowing or both. If I posted every time I moved snow this year it would get a little boring. Looks like I will put more hours on the tractor this winter than the last 4 winters combined. It's turning out to be one of those winters that makes people decide to sell and move off this hill unless they are long time residents that know how bad it can really get up here.

I did tighten up the blower chain this morning, so that's new.

I still have not installed the snow plow, or gotten the tractor out.

It's snowed a few times, but only a few inches.

68 days until spring.

we had a little over an inch, so did not bother plowing.
Shoveled front walk and called it a day.

Yeah, JH - I've been watching the radar and all the lake-effect snow you've been getting -- amazing. Looked like the Watertown area really got hit -- multiple times.

Once in a while it spills over this far to the east, but we've only got about 8" on the ground right now -- lost a boatload of snow with that warm-up (and rain) in December.

Yes, a majority of the snow is going north of here so far this year. I'm sorry for the people up north but at the same time I'm glad we have been spared from some of the worst of it.

The main issue with weather radar is that more than 50% of the time the snow I get here does not appear on radar. I'm equidistant from the 3 radar locations that cover this area (Watertown, Binghamton and Albany), between that, the hills, and how low the lake affect usually is here the radar is often not accurate. You can actually see the snow bands on the radar disappear before reaching me and then pick back up again farther to the east-southeast. That's the band going though the area that's too low for the radar to see.

Got about 5" on the ground, with a few more on the way.

Put the plow on last night.

Never plowed in 2024. Hope I remember how to do it. 😝

With the ground frozen and having a solid base I have put the original skid shoes on my blower so I can move more snow. Some pictures of the original and custom shoes I had made below.

It's supposed to warm up a bit on Saturday, they are saying high of 35. Hoping it's not for too long and things down thaw and melt too much or I'll have to put the big shoes back on.

Once we get a good base of snow I prefer it if it just stays cold, makes the driveway so much easier to clear without blowing stone and mud.
