spun rim inside of a beat up front tire\tube and ripped the valve off, ordered versa turfs (fronts only for now), put in another tube as a temp fix, ripped another valve. tractor is parked.

tires are so bad that I wont even post a pic. the internet safety police would go berserk. 😊

...now I'm twiddling my thumbs until the new tires show up.

I did recently swap my r1 rears back to r4 due to tire height (which affects 3pt lift height) and left the fronts as r1. when I start doing snowblower service and mount around Nov 1 I'll swap each left/right to put traction orientated around moving in reverse.

What brand R1's are people putting on these tractors. I am actually having a hard time finding r1 tires for my gc2400 locally. Getting versa turfs can be ordered but the price is pretty high. Might buy R1's online and try mounting them myself. Maybe buy the harbor freight tire mounting machine.

for rears I went with 10ply I got off ebay tire seller. great traction, hell I could till in 2wd with bucket on in soft soil. could rotate my 15yd horse manure pile in 2wd.

did too much damage to peoples lawns when driving to gardens though. I mean I dug the **** out of their lawns when crossing with tiller attached.

had to make tradeoff decisions.
they are approx 1.3 inches smaller circumference than stock R4 tires. I lost approx 1mph ground speed also.

I'm running OTR brand on front since 2021. they work well, in winter I swap left to right (r1 tires are directional) for rear mounted blower. steers a LOT better than stock r4 did when pushing a blower or bucket around.

they are same circumference as stock r4 and (on neighbors 1725M) turf tires.

I bet there's a roof over your tractor.

my front tire tread actually looks great (270hrs), just take away the severe cracking due to sun damage. they litterally ripped apart within days as soon as I starting pushing it in 4WD.

It seems everybody is busy this summer with many projects.

I have been working off/on on my dead Fir trees, 10 dead early Spring and 11 more dead this late Summer.

I have lost many trees over the years to wind, ice, and snow, but this year is the first for so many larger trees to die on my property.

I do have all of my firewood cut, split, and stacked into the woodshed for this winter.

The last few days have been smokey from fires in CA, OR, ID, and MT, but thank God we do not have any near us.

I'll leave the majority of these dead trees standing for this Winter, and it looks like I will not need another load of firewood logs delivered any time soon.

Here's a few pics of my dead trees, processing them, and my full woodshed.

We live in an Ash forest here and have lost almost all of them, many > 100' tall.

Hopefully this is only an anomaly for you and you don't lose any trees you don't want to.
Your wood stacks are so much more organized than mine.

Thanks for sharing.
