Looks nice- will it be able to handle the snow ?
Was thinking of something similar, eventually if wood prices ever come down.
I used 2x6's for roof rafters and half inch plywood sheathing. It should handle any snow load we ever get in NY. I also added bracing to the posts. I had to stop work though. My framing nailer died when I was sheathing the roof. Total cost so far is $384.00, but I am getting the plywood for the roof for free. I am going to use a tarp on the roof for now and buy the shingles later.

I had to order a part for it.

Will you have to lower the rops each time?
Yes, I will need to lower the rops. I could only get 6'8" clearance and still have enough of a slope to shed water.

Langanobob, looks like you had yourself a few hours of seat time snow blowing...

F.Y.I.: Many years ago I added added a riser with some 1/8" aluminum diamond plate (had pieces of material on

hand) to the top of my MF snowblower, because the snow keep coming over the top of the blower as I was using it

in deep snow.

In this thread, post #703 & #828 shows a couple of pictures of my snowblower with the risers.
Thanks. I’ve thought about adding something like that. I’ve got plenty of material so maybe a project to preoare for next winter.

I always get weird looks from people on the road.

Gimme "Crown Vic for Towing?!" for $500 @Dmacleo lol

The motor/trannys in those things were every bit the motor you'd find in a mid size or larger SUV. Looks good and I'm sure it'll fling some snow

Todays the day I'll be removing the Dozer Blade and install the snowblower.

Were foretasted for another 12-18" thru Saturday.

And this mornings actual temperature was -4 degree F at 8:30am, but it's warmed up since then, now it's 1 degree F...
