Approx 1.5 but it is thick was 14in tall within 6 weeks. Lot of clover also.
One of the very few times I had to run tractor full throttle.

Old cow pasture. Grows good.
In past I let people cut for hay, small area ran around 25 square bales.
Very dense.
Over last few weeks due to tractor break and knee surgery neighbors with their 42 inch mowers tried to help.
I heard the mowers stalling out so told them to avoid many areas.

And my 2310 is now on leaf duty... I have to say that DR Lawn & Leaf Vac really does work very well. 'Tis the season....

so....no leafing (heh heh) them to rot into the ground???
issue I have this time of year is leaves build up in front of deck then pile over onto belt and go everywhere. and I refuse to spend money on a panacea.
screw it, its only a 1100x40ft area thats in play and I am perfectly able to be lazy enough to leaf them alone.

I had been just dumping them over a bank, but they were really beginning to build up. Yes, I know they'll eventually decompose, but that takes a few years... and our landfill has a composting pile that I can use for free.

Using my diesel Jetta TDI Wagon and a 4x8 utility trailer, I figure each trip costs me about $3.00 for fuel and less than an hour of my time to take it there and dump it. (I do reserve one load, however, to add to our little garden.) I'll probably make 3-4 of those trips, total, each fall.

Probably my latent OCD coming to the fore in my old age, but it really bugs me to have so many leaves all over. What ya get for livin' in the woods....

About 6 years ago, we put Gator Mulch G6 blades on my dads Hustler, and a mulching flap over the deck opening.

We vac no more. That thing grinds the leaves into almost dust.

And, he gets a LOT of leaves.

Thanks, Ray -- anybody know if those will fit on a M-F 2325 mower deck? Sounds like I need to check this out!

BTW Ray -- still going on that OEM battery... (we'll see how it holds up this winter!)

I have used gator many times on many different lawn tractors and Z turn decks, good blades. was NOT able to find for the 2326 deck.Oregon (manufacturer) does not make them for the 2326, sort of a niche market.

got approx 45-50 cubic yards horse manure here to start composting for a year. 11 and 1/2 trailer loads.
once i stack it and "profile" it for winter may grab 2 trailer loads just to use for household stuff over the winter, that would be placed closer to house.
used to pitchfork this stuff off trailer. GC tractor MUCH easier

edit: just stacked and profiled the pile and realized I can take another 8-10 trailer loads. not gonna bother to pressure wash my trailer. the loads will be done in next few days.

Yeah, sorry guys, I'm not surprised that MF chose a proprietary blade design.

The G5 blades work almost as well, for the less powerful machines like my Land Pride zero turn.

I planted all the trees at the windward end of my property, so even if I don't go out there and grind the leaves up, they pretty much all would blow into the farm field behind me. (y)

This left me with a large, completely clear area, in the middle of my back yard. That area is reserved for my helicopter, which my wife keeps telling me I don't need??

Consequently, I don't have one......yet.

Should we start a go fund me page, to get irving a battery?
