What do you do with your Instant Pot you cant do with a crock pot?

Have you ever tried to do like the DR in the tube did. Use an Instant Pot steam basket and set the timer to 0 minutes. I use the steaming basket a lot in the Instant pot and let it go for a few minutes, I'm going to try that for 0 minutes next time so as soon as it gets up to pressure it will cut off.

Interesting concept. I think we will try this too.

I steam mine in a regular pan with a steamer insert and lid. Easier to clean in my mind but to each their own.

I've got a large old Revere Ware steamer that works really well and fast. I put 1/2" of water in the bottom, put it on the rapid boil burner on the stove and put whatever I want in the steamer. Pretty quick and I can taste test easier than the Instant Pot. Besides veggies, I'll also steam hot dogs, and then the buns. :licking:

One of my first jobs was at DQ. We had a bun steamer. Open the drawer, put in up to 6 buns, close the drawer, pump the handle a couple times to put water on the heating element and SSSSSSSSSSssssssssss steamed buns in about a minute. Nice and warm and soft. :licking:

I actually like them (buns) both ways, but prefer them steamed.

I enjoy my buns steamed unless having a chilidog or chiliburger then i'd rather have them toasted.

When I make chili dogs, I steam the bun, lay it open faced on the plate, slit the jumbo dog in half lengthwise and lay it on the open bun cut-side up. Then I ladle the chili onto the dog and bun, top with onions and cheese, and eat it with a fork and knife. Oh man! :licking:

Same here but I like the little crunch of the toasted bun. Don't forget the hot sauce.
