Finish up the switch on the smooth hubs and mounted the new 32' tire. The 1939 9n is back together and painted. Still haev to change back to 6 volt but that can wait till next year. My wife wants some stuff done on the house and then I'll be pull logs for firewood so won't get to much tractor work done. Here's a couple of pics.

Lookin' good, Kirk! Something about those little guys...

Just got Home from road tripping up along under the Canadian border through NY, VT and NH

First order of business was repairing this gash in the mower so off to the local weld shop I went (in 4 Hi, thanks Kirk)

Next thing will be figure out how to install those chain shields on the front of the mower, then pick up some paint and slobber a good heavy coat on the whole thing.

Got those skid shoes on also, plow bolts arrived from Messicks - along with the wrong muffler. Sent me one with an inlet and outlet for a 172, way to large a diameter for this little 134.

Time to get this mower off and get the logsplitter hooked up in its place.

Had a little time towards the end of the day. Parked the 901 to get it ready to install that chain shield up front, and hooked up to the splitter.

Have a couple odds and ends to do to it: dumped the old oil and picked up 15 gallons of ISO 46, put new hoses on it, slipped the new table on it and found there was a gap up front so picked up a 10' stick of 3/4" Galvanized pipe to cut into lengths, slip over the existing tubes, and fill that gap (will show with pics after I get it done).

Ordered a 1/4 turn drain valve for the tank to replace that 1/2" pipe plug they put in there, along with some heat-shrink hose clamps to put on as sleeves under the t-bolt clamps I have for the suction hose from the tank to the pump and the return hose from the valve back to the tank (same deal with pics).

Those tables on these Timberwolf splitters just slip into the end of the beam and lay there waiting to fall out and off. Kinda hokey I think. So I'm thinking about drilling a couple holes and putting some bolts through to steady it up and keep it in place.

Anyway, here's a couple quick pics from right after I hooked it up:

Hopefully I'll have some time to finish it up and get crackin' on some firewood over the next couple weeks.

So, what did YOU do to your tractor today? :)

Sunday, I did a little discing and seed bed prep before seeding a food plot. Nothing to exciting, but exactly what I got my tractor for.

A couple questions?

Is that a TW3 OR a TW3HD??

Have you used it yet?

SR, it's a 3.

Was looking for a 3HD but talked myself out of it. Don't really need the capacity or the pricetag that goes with it so with the money I saved when I found this one I was able to cover the cost of the table, wedge, and the maintenance items I'm doing. All in I'm still close to a thousand less than what my friend who's a local TW dealer could get me one for at cost.

Haven't run it yet, waiting for those hose clamps and that drain cock which should be here tomorrow or the next day.

Managed to fit the pipe extensions project in this morning. Here's some pics:

So, 10' stick of this galvanized, thick-walled, non-threaded pipe was 20 bucks from Lowes.

Cut into 18" lengths with the porta-band, ground the ends smooth on benchgrinder then cleaned up with wire wheel.

It's a tight, slip fit, so brushed white lith grease on the table and inside the extensions too.

Laid it down and used a sledge to putt swing tap them on over the tubes on the table.

Cleaned up the excess grease and we're in business.

Still have to come up with a way to through-bolt the table to the I-beam, will hava look at that in a little bit.

Looks like you are on your way to making some changes in your 3....

The reason I asked is, I have the 3HD, and it looks like the table attaches differently...

How much was the 3 when you bought it??

Yessir, the HD has a taller beam and the table "hooks-in" as I remember.

Drilled and through-bolted today, grade 8 flanged bolt and nut, that oughta keep her.

'Kusch, looks like you were having a pretty good time there. Hows that old girl run for ya?

Wife left to go spend a couple days with our bookends - the daughters, that is. One's 31, the other 21. The eldest is up visiting the younger at her place so Wifey figured visit 'em both while they're together in the same place.

Since she's gone, I had a little time to drill and put a second bolt in that table mount. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, lol

Still waiting for that drain cock, and those heat-shrink hose clamps to use under the tbolt clamps. Got the muffler situation with Messicks straightened out today too, the right muffler ought to be here tomorrow.

I've dealt with 4 or 5 folks in that parts department so far and the guy I had today gave me the best service yet. His name is Dale, ask for him next time y'all call.

So that's about it for me, what did YOU do to your tractor today? :)

Happy Friday, y'all.

Heat-shrink hose clamps arrived last night.

Got them on this morning, hit 'em with the heat gun and slid these t-bolt clamps over top. Cranked 'em down - just before it started raining - and so that's one more item off the list.

Those heat-shrink clamps don't put the squeeze on these heavy, wire reinforced hydraulic lines, but they do give me some cut protection between the clamps and the hose. Plus, I'll be darned if I can find t-bolt clamps small enough that'll fit this 3/4" hose right. The ones I have on I got from the hydraulic shop when they made up the hoses and they're just a bit too big. Hence another reason for those heat-shrink jobs, they fill a little bit of the space.

Mail lady just passed by, no drain cock yet so maybe later today from the brown truck.
