Almost everything is on a slope. I have very little level ground. I was planning on cleaning it up and watching it for a while just in case it was a spill. If it isn't, how much of a job is it to change for a backyard non-mechanic with no special skills or tools? He said he can get me the part at no cost if it's needed.

Thank you. Good to know.

I am at 65 hours on the tractor and the grapple setup has work perfectly the whole time.

Thank you. Good to know that there are much cheaper options out there for diverter valves.

Nothing too serious. Used my forks to move a partial pallet of garden soil

And turned 209 hours

Dug up some dirt with the shovel on the back. Moved it with the shovel on the front. Guess I was diggin' it comin' and goin'.

Cool hour reading though.

Cool. Just might have to keep my eye on mine.

I loaded some old growth logs onto a trailer for a friend. They have been drying for about 5 years or so. Only one log gave the loader any trouble, but still lifted it. Have I mentioned how impressed I am with this tractor?

These old trees fell down in a wind storm we had a few years ago. My friend dragged them to this area, put them up on 'blocks' and covered them with tarps for about the last 5 years. His intentions were to use them as support beams on a building, but instead, he is taking them to a mill to be milled down into large support beams for his new (fancy) deck he is building. This was the first load.

I have picked them up that big with my grapple, but had to carry them low to the ground. A lot that far forward. Most of my nice logs are pine. You can't even give them away down here. Something about the trees growing so fast that when they get real big, they don't make good lumber. I have some nice oaks, but trying to keep most of them.

I believe these are pine, or maybe Doug Fir. It's hard to tell without the bark. Some sort of evergreen anyway.

Here, they do grow fast, about as fast as they do. But these large, "old growth" trees are rare. Logging in the area limits how big they get. Trees that are too big for the industrial mills get to live longer, and turn into these massive logs when the wind blows them down. The wood does have nice close grain. Should make for some rather stout beams. I think he said he is getting 16"x16"x22' out of them. Good luck finding that at the lumber yard.
