What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

I traded in my XR4140hc for a MT342 with hst and cab. Drove it around and played with it. I like the new features they added. Still don't want to scratch it yet.

Reworked 30 yr old gravel driveway. No more weeds/grass, I can actually see gravel and a much better outline of the drive. Used a 6 box blade.

You can order some fairly elaborate brass address plates if you want to go that way.

I haven't had much luck with solar outdoor feature lights. They last a year or two at most and are made in a way you can't repair them. Can you run low voltage wiring out to it? They make quite a few decently styled LV landscape light fixtures and LED lamps for them. I have to be very careful with roadside lighting though. I'm on a bad hill on a narrow road and don't want to do anything that might distract a driver's eyes.

Yeah, I thought about that. I may just put a number on it. As a college professor I don't exactly want students to know where I live.

However, I live on a private drive with 3 other neighbors total, so the only people that would see it are my neighbors, or someone specifically driving to my place, as we live at the end of the road.

Looks great. Did you have to pick up all the grass clumps by hand? I need to do he same.

Yep, carried a 5 gal bucket and spent a lot of time bending over to collect the clumps by hand. But it sure makes a big difference getting that stuff out of the way.

23 degrees here this morning so I have probably waited to long. I think I will do the grass and clump removal next spring. A driveway should look like a driveway.

This is what i did today.
I got stuck in the pond by doing something dumb but was no problem got the 4wd 50 hp tractor hooked to side pulled semi flat let FEL w/grapple down in mud to hold moved big tractor to the rear hooked up to draw bar put the tractor in granny low ran jumped on the LS raised the FEL put in reverse to help, it came right out shut LS tractor off let down loader then shut down the big tractor.
My Wife could not help as she had a cast on her leg.
I know i will probably get some post on safety but sometimes you do what you have to do.

Your poor wife had a worried look on her face. I hope she kicked you in the arse with that cast for it.. Glad you got it out.
