I was typing above while you were posting this. It may just work out that way anyhow as I have a Volvo semi tractor to deliver this morning and am going to show the guy a couple more. After that I'm heading out to my property to do some more brush hogging to reclaim some side and rear fields on the property.

That could pretty much take all afternoon and into the evening. I may not have time when I get home to post before I have to get ready to go out to dinner tonight (I'm told I'm ALWAYS late coming home from being on my tractor /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif ). Houston, we have a problem. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I got my post with attachment all ready only to have the system tell me it can't be attached. Apparently what I have is a picture with an .art extension and that's not dowloadable onto TBN. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Is there a work around to this problem that anyone knows? For what it's worth, it's a really nice picture. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Gary, you should be able to open the picture with MS Paint or MS Photo or MS Imaging. You can then do a 'Save As' and select jpeg or bitmap format. You should also be able to do this with IrfanView (freeware)

Should be able to open it in MS Internet Explorer and save it as a BMP, then change it any editor to JPG.
.art extensions are from AOL, I think??

I was able to wrestle my way through that but now get a message that the file is too big. Any suggestions there?

Ok, I'm sure there are other ways, but I use the IrfanView freeware. After loading the image, I select 'Image', then 'Resize/Resample'. I then choose 640 by 480 and save the file. This will usually decrease the file size sufficiently.

There are also ways to save as a progressive jpeg and/or save at a lower quality. I hope someone can explain this better.

Or, you could send me the picture via email (see profile) and I'll size it and send it back to you later tonight. (I'm on my way out right now)

We all know that Gary likes motorcycles, and I suspect it was a picture of a bike that is "very" close. Here is the actual vehicle - I got the picture from the former owner.
