What could i use this for?

I had heard about the glyphosate and metal issue, but I thought it was just that the glyphosate would corrode the metal. "Explosive gas" sounds a little more exciting that what I want to deal with.

Anyone have any good ideas what to do with a good old propane tank with two holes in the top of it that doesn't involve roundup?? :)

Yep, i built something similar. I made mine into a pressure tank for gear oil and undercoating. You could also use it for motor oil i suppose

I just have about 10ft of hose with a valve and a J shaped piece of metal fuel line on the end. I used a quick connect on the end of the hose so i could change "nozzels". Welded a 1" pipe nipple to the tank to use as a fill tube. Drilled and welded a 1/4" air fitting on the 1" pipe cap for the fill hole. I run about 30psi from my compressor to this fitting to pressurize the tank.

For undercoating, i remove the J tube, and hook up a cheap paint gun to the hose instead. I run a second air line to the gun too. Works pretty good, I can really lay the undercoating on thick.
Works great for filling rear ends. Nothing more annoying than trying to get gear oil to flow uphill from a 1L bottle.
