My late father-in-law left a Milwaukee cordless grease gun on his bench and I used it and I was hooked. I do like the idea of carrying one of those small grease guns with me though, so I bought one.

I also bought some of that mystic grease 5030 was talking about. Seems really inexpensive for seemingly good Grease.

BTW - I have Woolwax, New Hampshire Oil Undercoating, and FF side by side. WW is a bit more more viscous. Otherwise they all seem the same and I'd be hard pressed to say one is better than the other.

The various product's are indeed very similar...they are lanolin based.

FWIW, Woolwax is available in several viscosities. "Traditional", LV (low viscosity) and XLV (extra low viscosity). They also have a line of "undercoating" that dries hard.

I am probably wrong, but i use Lucas Red and Tacky in/on everything that has a zerk.
and don't forget compatibility. Their red isn't compatible with their own green.

If we noticed any corrosion starting inside the wings of airplanes, we used WD40 because of the 3 stages it presents. 1. liquid and dispersant. 2. Sticky and not likely to run off. 3. Hard. There forever and no corrosion. Never use on locks or you will be soaking them in acetone.

I recently got a Lube Shuttle grease gun and so far it's positive. I have only used it to test really so I can't say for certain how I'll like it.

I use Fluid Film from time to time, but have switched to almost exclusively using Wool Wax for the same thing. It's a bit thicker, but can be purchased in a thinner version. It comes in black and straw colors and the best part it doesn't smell as bad.

I use graphite grease for the shaft slide.

because I purchase my grease in bulk 150 pound drums, that is all I use for everything.

Wow using 150 pounds of grease in only two years that’s a lot of grease !
I do. Every implement I own has grease fittings, so do my vehicles. and tractors and even the lawnmowers. My pickup truck alone has 26 grease fittings. Grease is cheap compared to parts replacement.

Tractor Supply grease and a Dewalt grease gun.

Don't know how I ever did without one of these. Tempted to buy a second Milwaukee M12 version for the few areas I use different grease.

I use the Lucas marine on just about everything. Calcium sulphonate based with great corrosion and oxidation protection. Seems to stick around a lot longer in outdoor equipment. It's also available at basically every parts house.

You need to look at the HF 20 volt grease gun. It's a mirror image of the DeWalt at 1/2 the cost. Probably made in the same Chinese factory as the DeWalt too.
