Didn't know where to post this ( sometimes wish we had a "tool" forum). My wife got these scissors at an estate sale today and asked if Id see if anyone knew what they were? My son has a set of herb scissors with multiple (7, I think) blades but these simply have three....anyone have any idea what they are for? (BTW, the tips are not broken off, they are made somewhat short and square).

I'm not an expert, but they look like regular scissors that were grinded to be shorter. For what reason, I don't have a clue. Sincerely wish you the best in finding the right answer.

Sorry, I guess you can't tell from the pics, the unique aspect is that they are three bladed. The single blade has two square. sharp shearing edges and passes tightly though two separate blades. I simply mentioned they weren't broken because they are apparently factory made blunt tipped and stubby as well. I seen scissors with many blades for "chopping" (herb scissors) but have no idea what these could be for.

Maybe they are some kind of veternarian grooming tool.
