We've come a long way

I like this old steam tractor photo. It doesn't look like a small locomotive on steel tractor wheels, like many steam tractors.

Does it use a crew of three? Maybe driver, fireman, and mechanic?

I'm surprised at how few employees many large farms now have.

Look close and the small man in back is driving a horse or mule team. so who was #4 ?
Good picture. and not the adverage farmer could own one. Do you have any more information on where used.

Nice picture! No. 78. I can see four moldboards, maybe there was five.

I wonder if they hired out or were they working their own land? The terrain looks like central plains area maybe.

Hard telling what that hose looking thing is draped around the front wheel.
