Last summer I purchased a new Miller 302 Trailblazer welding machine. I was going to plant it in the bed of the truck but decided to build a trailer instead to tow it around. Anyway I got it done. Tows great and it features some extra storage compartments and all led lighting. Here's how I did it.

Great work I love it you seem like you might be a perfectionist;)

I really like the rollbar but mostly the drawer. Would it be water tight enough to keep things dry on slushy roads?

Ive never been a big fan of checker plate but it suits your trailer well with the miller blue paint. nice touch on the tire cover.

Might just want your permission to copy a few things

Thanks guys. Glad you like it and enjoyed the video. I'm happy with the trailer. Having it has actually go me some extra work. As one person said " If you built that thing, you got my work" That means more than the trailer it's self. Thanks again guys!

Yes sir, it's as water tight as it needs to be. The tire cover was one of the tough parts. Tried to purchase one but Miller never made one so I did :D Hope you can use some of my ideas. That's why I post this stuff. Thanks for your coments. Much appreciated.

nice trailer. I like the drawer space in the back. However if I may suggest something. Maybe it would be a good idea to weld on couple swivel wheels under that drawer cabinet do to low clearance. You never know- you might encounter a speed bump or hill that would drag on that cabinet. I am sure you don't want to ruin your pretty trailer.:D

Radioman I guess there's a bit of risk involved with anything . The trailer was build to serve basically two customers we have. One has a farm and the other a heavy equipment company. We started out doing all there mechanical repairs years ago but somewhere along the way we ended up doing all there machining and welding so they've come to rely on us. The only weakness we had was no way to do there mobile welding so that's how the Miller Trailblazer came along. After deciding I was going to build a trailer for the machine the wife asked "how much will it cost"? I replied "maybe around $1500." As I started in building the thing all these crazy ideas starting popping into my little brain and at the end of the build I was just past $4000. for the thing.

Don't worry. I know where this trailer will be going. The bottom drawer isn't much of a concern to me. I've been off road with it and have had no problems and being off road is a very rare situation, There's no speed bumps around these parts and I can't think of a road that's not paved. I've also added a rear view camera to the truck like the one I put in the tractor to help illuminate the possibility of hitting something. With the rear shocks on the trailer it soaks up bumps on the road better than the truck pulling it. Glad you like it.

Close to the end of the video you may have noticed another crazy looking welding outfit. That is the "Crazy Cart" I built for the Miller Dynasty DX200. It features a full drawer, fenders, custom exhaust, step bumper with mini license plate and even has a mini trailer hitch on it. It is built to look like a hot rod. I'll be doing a video on that one in the next day or two so stay tuned. I'll post on here. Thanks for your post!

4shorts,

Very nice work. Miller should pay you to advertise.

Thanks J_J. There's one thing I've learned since I've been doing this sort of thing and that is the big companies do not appreciate customer loyalty, My shop is full of Miller welding gear plus when I build something for this gear like the trailer you never hear a word from them. I've never so much as gotten a free ball cap :( But at least others like yourself appreciate seeing it :D

I've purchased products from foreign countries and did similar things and they've went so far as to personally call and thank me. Go figure:rolleyes:

I was wearing my Superman suit when I built it :D

Really happy you like the stuff I've done. Takes a few hours to
do it all but I think it's worth it. I'll have another vid up sometime today. Thanks

(You'd think by now she'd know enough to not bother asking :))

:D you should have seen her this morning when I walked into the office and said "Can you order this for me"? I tried to get out fast but she knew something was up and then she asked "What's it for"? I had to admit it was for the tractor :( I think she'll be cambed down by noon (I hope) :( :D
