Welding Rod Recommendation

/ Welding Rod Recommendation #41
I am no professional welder, but like most others I use 6011 about 90% of the time on the ranch for thick metals or structural. Other times I will follow up a 6011 root with 7018 or if its small jobs I use my MIG welder.

Heck a smallish wooden box and couple of 60 or 100 watt bulbs will make a decent rod oven.
That or store them in your furnace room or again near a baseboard heater.

LOL, no need to have a CSA certified designer oven.
Get practical guys.

The original poster does not own a MIG welder so it wasn't an option. Nonetheless, that's what I do 95% of my welding with.
