The way to find out what you'll like is to try a variety.

I use a Shade 9 gold lately for outdoor work.

They all stop UV, so the issue is "comfort" and ability to see the puddle.

When I use a old school helmet I prefer a Gold lens. Shade 9, I believe. The gold really allows you to see more. Could even go a shade darker and still be able to see fine I believe

I have used only dark lens to see more but i don't have experience of gold lens. I really want to know about gold lens but i want to use it. Can you help me to find out this gold lens.

Hardest part for some of us is having the opportunity to actually try a few out. I've heard smatterings about gold tinted shades as well but not enough information to form an opinion. Would love to hear more from those who have actually tried them!

Glad you pointed out that all helmets will limit UV and IR exposure. It really does come down to how bright you want the view to be. Some people also want more sensors if they weld out of position a lot.
