You can splice 2 number 10 to a 6 to a 50 breaker. the wire to each outlet only needs to serve its load. (welder circuit) Could run 2 200 class migs at a time from a 50 breaker, could run half a dozen limited to 2 at a time but alternate duty cycle as they will not overheat the 6 wire.
But the cord and recept system this is ALL based on says,,, its a 50A,,, its a 20 or a 30 and that means it has a breaker on it is the same. That is the "code". Its not even my opinion, its the legal way it is sposed to be wired to connect those machines to it..
. .? I have no idea what your talking about. #6 for 50 is ok...but no #10 anywheres on a 50 amp circuit. You dont use a neutral on a welder circuit.

Where do it say it's got to be greater than the total of every machine? The demand is based closer to 30% than the total and maybe as low as 23 or so.
It doesnt mean a guy will burn the shack down with some cobble job breakout box with range cords but it's the kind of thing we wouldn't mind seeing go away especially created by diy types might blow past some really fundamental principles of wiring.
These are not completely thought thru when they are creatively engineered.
I did a lot of that shat when I was younger. Just getting rid of the last of it now. Today I try to copy the simplicity of old masters vs trying to invent it myself.

Don't build breakout boxes where a simple pipe to a receipt will do. Don't be scared to run another pipe if it's as practical. You don't got to get every wire in the place in 1 and nothing says quality and class like single circuit to a piece of equipment.

I gonna say with a little sarcasm that it's obvious you do not grasp the idea of what I am talking about. This is a fault with my rambling babble. But 12 is allowed on a 50A circuit.

10 is a size larger than required for a 225 buzzer. Feel free to read it in the manual.

I got to wonder what would be the point of going out of the way to advocate starting out of the path with a breakout box with all the wrong shat don't fit any common welding machines none come with that old obsolete junk, wrong plugs, wrong cords, wrong recepts

A receptacle installed for any piece of equipment or welder will be wired with wire rated for the amp capacity of the installed circuit breaker as will the receptacle.
ie. a 50 amp breaker installed in a load panel will be wired with wire rated for 50 Amps and a receptacle also rated for 50 amps or more regardless of what may be plugged into it.
When a piece of equipment is hard wired into a panel box the installed breaker will be for the same or less then the wire run to the equipment,
it does not matter if the equipment is rated for 26 amps if a 30 amp breaker is installed the wire run to the equipment will be rated for at least 30 amps,
it does not matter what the equipment manual calls for.
The NEC takes precedence almost every where, in Industrial settings which do not get an electrical inspection every insurance provider will require that electrical meet or exceed the NEC.

The mfg publishes the manual to the NEC.

All the rest of the recepts need to match, welders do not, they can be wired from the instructions.
