I must be missing something here - you pay $1000 and have no product? You paid by what method? You have receipts as well? If that is true I cant see how it got to that point....your call if you want to provide more details

I wish you luck on your call to the 800 number again. When I did called the 800 numbe a second time I asked for a manager and was told they dont have one. I asked to speak to a manager in their national sales department. Usually you can get sales to help you if you start pointing out how much bad publicity you can provide for them on places like these forums. I was told they dont have a national sales department each store does their own. I find that hard to believe since HD supports trading spaces and I cannot imagine one store shelling out that kind of money. I was lucky that the woman in customer service got my problem resolved and I did not have to dig further for someone higher up but be prepared to do that. The woman in customer service did tell me that if she could not resolve it that the next person in line to talk to was the district manager for my store. You might ask to speak to the district manager. I also am curious if you have the receipt for your money and they did not provide the material you purchased I would think that would be a pretty easy thing to argue. You might try calling the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISION They have some serious sets of laws and can fine companies enough money to make them worry about it.

gemini5362, I thank you for the info, my next step is to make some large signs for my truck and home and keep my fingers crossed that it works? Its pretty sad that they think they can get away with this ( I call legal stealing )
I have wasted too much time on the phone talking to the wrong employees
I'll send you pictures of my signs, you will like them. In a large city like jacksonville,Florida it may make the news? LOL
All I want is my money back.

Signs won't get your money back... If you have receipts and everything is legitimate, it's just a matter of getting a hold of the correct person at corporate. Most companies want to make things right, but some companies are so large, such calls get lost among all of the employees. Good luck!

You have been very vague about the exact nature of the problem. You have receipts for what? How did you pay for the merchandise? Did they not deliver what you purchased, or was what they delivered wrong. Without the specifics of the transaction I know that I couldn't give you any worthwhile advise, nor can anyone else. Have you had a face to face meeting with the store manager? I don't think that HD is trying to cheat you of any money. What are the receipts for?

Before you go to signs on your truck- call the local prosecutor' office. If you have a valid reciept, they don't have the merchandise, and you don't get a full refund, I think the prosecutor may want to make a call on your behalf. I'm not the biggest fan of big box stores, but find it hard to believe that you are in the fix you appear to be- I have to wonder what piece of the puzzle we are missing.
Driving around town with signs on your truck may make you feel good, it will not solve the problem, and may well create a few new ones.
Take a deep breath, get the help of the proper people and get your money back.

The state attorney general's office may be able to help also.
A large company like Home Depot does not stay in business very long by intentionally defrauding people...
There's got to be a misunderstanding or miscommunication on one or both sides, and getting either the poster, the prosecutor, or the attorney general getting in touch with the correct person at HD should be able to quickly solve the problem.

If you paid by credit card it's real simple. Call your credit card company, tell them what has happened and have them reverse the charges.
