Buying Advice wanting a backhoe for a ct 225

Any of the backhoe run on remotes. With only a 3-5 gpm it seems like that would be really slow going compared to getting 15 gpm or more from a pto run backhoe.

Mines not slow pluged into the tractor..
I run a Rhino 85 on my Kioti DK 35 at around 2100-2200 RPM it is plenty fast enough for me.
No need for a PTO pump.

Good to know. I always figured that running around 5 gpm would be really slow since most real backhoes run 20+ gpm and most PTO powered backhoes push much more than 5gpm as well.

I was under the impression that all factory backhoes ran off of Tractor remotes now days. Not sure if this is better or worse though.

I'm not sure. I believe some I have seen have a pump that hooks to the pto with a separate hydraulic system for the backhoe. I've looked at adding a bobcat brand skid steer backhoe but most of those skid steers provide 10+ gpm at around 3,000 psi and some over 20 gpm. I figured if you pump 5 gpm at 2000 psi the performance would go down quite a bit.

This is the model I had been looking at. It says you can use the tractors system and bypass the oil reservoir on the backhoe or use a PTO pump and use the oil reservoir on the backhoe. The difference being the tractor provides about 5gpm and the pto pump closer to 20 gpm.

My older model DK 35 has enough GPM to run my 8 1/2' backhoe very well.
The backhoe has its own pressure relief valve set at around 2100 PSI. The tractor hydraulics have more than enough pressure for the backhoe to go into relief before the tractors hydraulics do. If this backhoe were mounted on a skid steer with higher pressure it would make no difference in digging power. The backhoe would still go into relief at the same 2100 PSI.

Your CT 445 would have more than enough PSI and GPM to run than little 6' backhoe with ease.

Not having a lot of luck getting a bobcat brand backhoe in the correct size. I'm still considering going with the larger size backhoe even though it's one size up from what manufacturer recommends. Three point backhoe looking better and better

I've the 7TB and used to have a BX6000 on a little Kubota BX and one thing I hate about the 7TB is that it's subframe is really a permanent part of the hoe. It's darn near a car length when I dismount it, whereas the Woods' subframe bolted permanently to the frame and not only was it was really quick to pin on, pin off, but it only took up about 4-5' of garage space. I've not checked but I'm fairly certain the BX70, 80 and perhaps the 90 are the same. I really wish I had the BX80 instead of the 7TB.

I have a woods BH-80X on my ct230 and have been pretty happy with it.

Galaxie... Do you have any pix of how the Woods subframe connects to the tractor at the FEL? Woods uses the same subframe for their BH65, 70X, 75, and 80X backhoes, and I want to put a BH75 on my CT230.
