hooked up a "quick-detach" gizmo so I don't have to wrestle with the hoses and barbs. Now, it's a breeze to "flush with oil" before storage (i.e., between each use).

Would you explain this quich detach gizmo a little more. A picture would be even better. Sounds like something I would like to do but don't think I understand the concept.

Get two 3/4" NPTM 90 x 3/4 F banjo and two hose to 3/4 M banjo fittings for your pump connections. This will let you unhode your pump in seconds. Otherwise, removing the pump to clean and oil it (30w motor oil is fine) is much more difficult. Clip or tie wrap the banjo fitting levers so the don't open and dump your sprayer contents. This last advice comes from experience.

How about a picture of this setup. Unhooking the hoses from a barbed fitting (especially a metal one) can be a royal pain in the behind. I am looking for a better solution. I said way too many cuss words last Saturday.

FYI I just bought this P-K Sprayer at Rual King
http://www.pkmfg.net/S3P55PE3%20UTILITY%203-POINT%20SPRAYER.htm
It came with a Spray Gun also, no pump!
I got a 6-Roller pump with quick coupler to go with it ..extra.
I guess the reason for no pump with it is because it's easy
to go elec or PTO.
I have a little less than $500 in the complete set-up!
I have not used it yet, just picked it up last nite.
I think it will serve me and the 5 acres that I cut well?
Anyway, I'm out the door to go find out /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
