VIN Number

An anyone tell me how to check a VIN number on a Bobcat skid steer ?
I don't want to get involved with a stolen piece of equipment.

They're located at about three locations. The lift tower, hydraulic pump and a location apparently known one to the dealer. Contact your local authorities to see if stolen.

I found the VIN, police won't run the number without probable cause.

There's a fee involved, but you could try IRONcheck - Equpipment History Reports | National Equipment Register | NER. Also, you might want to check for UCC lien filings.

I think you can go through a lawyer to make sure it is not stolen and there are no liens against it.

Try a Bobcat dealer, they may be able to help you.
