Ventrac Prices

What is the price range of a entry level ventrac machine with a 60 inch mower? I've seen them on display up at Hartville Hardware in Ohio.

I'm toying with an idea of buying a 430 steiner, anyone know what is top operating speed and max lift weight for attachments...thanks

It deffinitely has a place. It is just a lot of fun to use I found. It's easy to get on and off, you can move the thing while standing next to it, which I don't suggest you do.


The top speed of a 430 max is 5.3 MPH.
The liquid model weighs 1100 pounds.
They don't publish the lift capacity. It IS miserable. The hydraulics are quite weak. My snowblower weighs 400# and I sometimes wonder if the machine will actually get it off the ground.

The newer machine has addressed many of these short comings.

I used the crap out of my Ventrac this Winter and yes the Blower is quite heavy just use the weight transfer lever.

thanks industrial toy, wow that seems pretty slow. was hoping it was closer to 10 mph like my toro.

The steiner in low range tops at 5-6 mph. High range is 10 mph.

Ventrac is also 10mph in high range

I've got 2 -420 steiners...one tops out at 4.6mph/9.8. Which is exactly what my ventrac does at 3600 rpm.. The other steiner 420 which is a 97 does 7 mph in low and 12 mph in high range..it flat out flies..that's the one I put the blower on and 22/11x8 sawtooth tires so I can ride on the greens...the lower geared one I use to pull the gang mower setup..
I too have used the crap out of my ventrac this winter...I kinda wish I had a snowblower attachment now.nver had a use for one but we have between 3-4 ft on the ground a plow is pretty useless for anyplace you haven't kept clean...

i think a ventrac/steiner is the direction i will start looking into. I can't legitimize a new one so it will be a long drawn out wait for a used one.lol i really like the toro setup on smaller tractors and had planned to stay with them,but not a fan of the lifting hydraulic implement platform.
