Vallejo Acres

As a new owner of a few acres in Vallejo, CA I'm in the market for a compact tractor. After reviewing tractors I've decided on a Mahindra 2216 4WD. It should have enough power and it's geared transmission can climb the 1:10 ratio hill while dragging a three point 48" deck for cutting the grass and implements to prep the soil for planting. Plus the front bucket can handle the small jobs around the property. However, as retired military I'm willing to listen to other opinions to complete my decision making process. It's a democracy here on the property so speak up but realize I do have 51 percent of the vote on the final make and model. In lieu of this fact I do appreciate solid well supported input so please give me your best advice. :thumbsup:

Well howdy Grizzly34. :welcome: to TBN. I hope you enjoy your place in "Valley Joe." I spent almost 4 years at Mare Island Naval Ship Yard teaching in Combat Systems Training Schools Command (CSTSC) back in the late 70's and made Chief (CPO) in the US Navy and was initiated at the CPO Mess on Mare Island. I have fond memories of Vallejo and the entire Bay Area. It's a great central location for a huge variety of recreational activities. Had I not had all my family in Texas, I'd have probably moved to that area when I retired from the US Navy.
