UTILITY VEHICLE PRICING COMPARISON & ADVICE

I did NOT say CVT trannys were bad hills. My point was hydrostatic braking is better on hills. What else you got there EH?If your looking for a fight go to mesick mi. to the local tavern
Our 2014 CTV has engine braking on hills. Seems like most modern CVT trannys have that as standard.

Mesick is petty far from Houghton, as in the lower vs the upper peninsula of Michigan. Ever been North of Lansing?

Fight? Could a guy walk away from one without having to buy 'orange'? I bought green and lived to laugh here. 😮

We have NO idea where Mesick is. Nor been below the bridge since 2010. If our CVT would just brake going down a hill, then maybe we should?

There's a lot of Michigan North of Lansing. It's just over the horizon.

No prob. A lot of us are happy with our UTVs even if we brought the wrong ones. :)

I don’t know about the Mechron but would be open to trying it. I currently own five kubota RTVs, a mule pro FXT, a Honda pioneer, and a Polaris.

The Polaris is junk. I have owned three and all three gave me problems. The pioneer is good and reliable but is small. The mule pro FXT I like a lot but it gets babied. It is our recreational type unit. The Kubotas are tanks. I can’t imagine anyone being harder on a UTV than we are on them and they just keep going. We have replaced about a dozen skid plates, cracked a few exhaust mounts, and tore a few CV axle boots but aside from that no issues. The exhaust mounts were covered under warranty and the skid plates and cv boots were damage on our part. They are heavy, loud, and slow. The 1120s use way more fuel than the 900s and don’t have much more power. I have two 900s and three 1120s. I would go 900 if buying another one. We run them 60-70 hours a week though so the fuel becomes a concern. Filling up every day vs filling up every other day. We tried other units in this same application that had belts and we kept breaking belts. No belts in the kubota is a huge plus to me.
