John Deere 6220
I have a John Deere 4 wd 6220 with an closed hydraulic system. I also have a Hardy 1700 ST log loader trailer with a open hydraulic system. I am hoping to run the trailer hydraulics off the tractor system. Loader requires 8 gal/min and 2500 psi. Tractor runs 20+ gal/min and 2900 psi. Have not been able to get a good answer from local dealers. Might have to run a pto pump instead of using tractor hydraulics? Supposedly there is a kit that will create a free return line for an open system. Has anyone used this or know much about it? Hard to get good information...

Thanks!

Might have better luck asking this in the Hydraulics forum where J J hangs out.

Have you checked if you can convert the valve to an closed center?
On many valves that are kits to do that.
