I don't care for the JD 2025r. We have one at our church camp with the 60" mower and front snow blower. It is nothing more than an oversized lawn mower.
My L2501 is a real tractor compared to the JD.
I also don't like the oil engine capacity on the JD which is less than 3 quarts, compared to 6 quarts capacity for the Kubota.... both 25 horse power.
Less than 3 quarts takes a pounding, in my opinion.

I'm not sure what lawnmower you're comparing to, but it must be a pretty big one. The 1 series maybe can be compared, but the 2 series is a nice small tractor.

Mine holds just under 4 quarts of oil but whatever, I don’t here of oil failures.

I often see the “oversized lawnmower comment” on tractors no matter what the size. Park any compact tractor next to big ag tractor or construction equipment they look like a toy. Park that same compact tractor next to a shovel and wheelbarrow and they start looking pretty good.
