Used GC1715 -- what to look for?

Well done Jima1. Might be a little over budget, but I think you made a great choice. The original GC1715 you posted had issues that were out of the norm., not regular wear and tear.
A couple less HP than the GC1715, but hardly noticeable in operation.
To give you an idea of the price of the GC series, a 2004 GC2300 w/FEL sold for c.$10,000, and still sells used in the $4-6000 range. New tractors have become less expensive over time. The 5 year warranty is a nice thing to have for peace of mind. Take care of it and the depreciation should be negligible (maybe 5% per year).

It came today, here's a couple getting started pics. Lots of fun getting used to new control layout + dual pedal + no clutch, didn't do any damage ;)

Put the blade on to smooth out some potholes in the drive, immediately noticed that with the rear blade down, going backwards to smooth using the curved side of the blade, my leg hits the lever when trying to put my foot on the reverse pedal (see pic). Thoughts?

Parked the blade and put the 5' rear mower on -- took a little doing since the tolerances are tighter than on my old tractor, but really seems to handle it nicely in the yard.

Best looking SCUT on the market! Hope you enjoy it.
I think I've read others speak of that lever interference, might be some threads here on that.

Good luck with the new ride. I use my tractor for so many things I didn;t expect when I first bought it, and I still like the size.

My Agco St47a is the same way in regards to the FEL lever. 2200 hrs. on tractor and I still bump the lever with my knee when looking back. Thought of some kind of lockout. Anybody done this?

So after several hours of operation, I have to say I really like the strength of the loader and design of the platform, handles the 5' rear mower just fine. I'm starting to get used to two pedals instead of the rocker, but it's still easy to forget. With that said, I also need to warn others that might find this thread about the plastic lights mounted higher up on the ROPS. Surely they are up there for some regulatory reason?? If you're coming from an old tractor that does not have that, and was built like a tank, just remember that newer tractors are not built that way and the plastic lights sticking out up high don't stand a chance if you happen hook a tree limb like I did already :( Recommendations for a more robust way to re-attach the light?

Swap then side to side and mount the lights inside the ROPS.
