Hey guys

Need some opinions on price on a used B2920. I purchased this tractor in 2010 new. It has FEL, MMM, Woods box blade on it. It has 100 hours on it and is in fantastic condition. All routine care has been done.

What would be a fair price to put on this for private sale?

Thanks for any input.

Matt

Going price I've seen is around 19k with the BH, so maybe 12 - 14? They seem to sell quickly around here....

Thanks guys. I did check out tractorhouse prior to posting but seems that pricing is all over the map. Thanks for the input.

It's really tough to come with a price on that stuff. I have the same tractor/equipment and often wondered that myself....like you said the Tractor house prices represent such a broad range they don't help. You could see what the trade in value is at a dealer, and figure that's likely 15-20% less than they would try to sell it for. I'm sure a lot of it depends on location/region, etc. so the dealer input would have that in mind. I did come across this ad for a 2620 in the local CL, and thought maybe his price was a little wishful thinking; but that's only my opinion.

I am in the same boat. I have a 2305 that I have outgrown and want to upgrade.

I found the average price to be around $9,000 to $9,500. But those are listed prices. I have no idea what they are actually selling them for.

The problem is the dealers offer very low to zero % interest on new equipment. If your are going to sell your equipment for $10,000, the buyer will be paying interest (unlesss they have cash), say 6%. That is $1,640 / $10K borrowed (at 6%)

So in my case a potential buyer can get a new 1 series (tractor only) for about $10,500 to $11,000 at 0% that comes out to about $170 / month.

My tractor priced at $9K is $174 / month....same money as a new tractor with 0 hours and full warranty.

So I am starting at around $8K, or about $155 / month. (if the buyer can get 6%....)

If you are looking at a new peice of equipment, talk to the dealer you will be buying from. Two of the dealers that I am working with both gave me some pointers on selling my equipment and what the market they have will bear.
