I'm thinking about purchasing a used 3430 hst with loader and boxblade for 12000 it has 1800 hours and new front tires. How much life do you think is still in this tractor? it was used as a rental. somebody told me usually 4000-5000 hours???

I bought a used 3430 GST with loader and boxblade for 13000 with 140 hrs. Tractor should last you a long time as long as the service was performed on schedule. It's hard to tell how hard it was used as a rental.

That's a nice price for that machine, if it wasn't a rental. Count on potentially replacing/rebuilding the tractor from the frame up. Let's see, how does that old saying go: "whipped like a rented mule?"

Yes sir that is the one. The part about it being a rental scares me. He did send me 7 more pictures so I could get a close up look. Most of the rentals I've driven have had around 600-800 hours and look pretty used. I've been trying to get the guy to come down on the price not much luck. Just like what Davitk said I'd better plan on keeping some extra money holed up for repairs. I had a 3130 slip through my hands with 100 hours for 14500.00 missed it by a couple hours. I've been shopping every where without much like since my limit is 15,000.00. If any of you'll know of any I'm all ears.
