I'm an open station guy too. 99% of the time I love it.

I was complaining a bit last year about sunburning the top of my head brush cutting. James suggested I try a canopy, "might like it" was his comment. So I built one tough enough for my timber duties. I'll never admit it to James, but I love it. Even helps during those quick little showers when away from the shed. :)

Thats a good looking canopy Richard. Really tough looking and keeps your old bald head a bit cooler. Wonder where you got the idea for that?:D

yeah, I have had several canopies on tractors thru the years. My first one on the old Long was stout enough to stand up on. The one you built looks strong enough to break off some limbs. They have all be very helpful on those sunny days, and as you said if the rain is not blowing too bad you can work thru a small shower if it is coming down vertical. They are definitely worth having in my opinion

I too enjoy cutting with the FEL removed. Sure makes operation easier. And with a semi mount or pull type the FEL weight is not needed. :)

I'm just not sure how you can "bond" with nature with all those windows/doors/AC surrounding you??? :D

Whenever I need to bond with nature, I just throw a handful of dirt in my face and jump into a briar patch with a hornets nest tucked under my arm; doesn't happen often so I'll just stick with my cab.
