Unusual Dump Trailer

Here is a dump trailer I came across built by Felling Trailers. (I know another model was discussed here before)

That is pretty cool-- only thing is the quarry I go to loads with such huge loaders they can't hardly help but spill when loading a whole trailer, they'd never get it in just one side of that trailer if you wanted two different materials:laughing:

Same thing here. The loader they use is literally big enough to put the dump truck I have been driving in.

As for unusual dump trailers I see a guy driving around tow with a standard 14' dump trailer but the difference is between the box and the tongue there is a 6' flat deck that he loads a BobCat on sideways. It has 3 axles and is probably rated for 18,000#. Its a bumper pull and he totes it around with about a 08 F-350 Dually. Its a pretty neat setup. I wish I had a picture.

they would if you put 2' wooden sides in the middle as a divider, thus the stake pockets.

the quarry i go to the loader operators are quite good and could easly nail such a thin target.

I saw another type of unusual dump trailer the other day on the web as I was looking for build ideas. Each of the four corners was attached with a trailer hitch type ball and receiver. The ram had U-joints at each end. The trailer would dump to the back or to either side depending on which of the corners was attached and which were released.

I tried finding it again, but I can't remember what search turned it up and nothing I tried brought it up. It was pretty cool.

Yup, quite a bunch of landscapers in Holland use 3 way tippers. My neighbour also has one, a three axle model capable of way more than his VW Transporter 4 may handle.
Most people find them too expensive, they cost about double that of a standard tandem with sideboards.
