Universal engine

I have a 1984 universal diesel model 5432.....it is my understanding that this motor was manufactured by kubota.

I'm not sure but were Universal and Westerbeke tied together at one time. There head/valvecover appeared to be very close design-wise. I have not seen any Universals since I was working on boats and I remember them leaking alot more oil at the gaskets and such than a kubota does. Sorry I don't have a correct answer for you I'm just assuming and that is not good./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
