Recently purchased a Kubota B 1750 with loader, woods hoe and manual trans. Doing a complete fluid and filters change as they have been neglected. My question is what type oil to use ? Hydraulic trans or straight hydraulic. Thanks

It depends... your tractor model comes in Gear or Hydrostatic... which one you have will dictate which oil to use. Trans-Hydraulic Fluid for HST, or straight hydraulic if it's gear.

My thoughts on the subject are if you have an old tractor with a combined transmission and hydraulic sump something like JD 303 spec oil is commonly available at a reduced price.

If you have hydrostatic steering, and/or a HST transmission, and wet brakes, and combined sump, and independent PTO (with multiple clutch disc engagement...electrical activated PTO) then you need the oil that meets the JD 20C or UDT spec. which is designed for such applications.

But the owner's manual should steer you in the right direction.

It is a manual/gear so will go with the straight hydraulic. That was what I was wondering. The manual was vague about it. At least to me. thanks a lot. As a afterthought it is equipped with power steering. Does that matter ? Thanks

Power Steering is just a piston like the three point hitch, nothing special or fancy.

When in doubt, go with Trans-Hydraulic fluid which will also work where straight hydraulic fluid is all that is needed.

But never use straight hydraulic fluid where Trans-Hydraulic fluid is required.
