Two walk behind Tillers.

One with a 5.5 OHV B&S that had a rod throught the block one with a standard Briggs 5 HP that the carb is totally shot and the bolts for the pull starter are broken off in the block.

when I get my welder I am seriously thinking about welding something up and hooking them together and running them from my PTO on the BX23.

Might or might not work but I am thinking about giving it a try.

Why not just a new engine? I saw a 5 or 6 hp Honda on Northerntool for $189.

Initially, I'm thinking the parts to connect to the BX would cost more than that. The other thing is I would be afraid that the BX would eat those tillers unless the dirt is like powder.

Hmmm just for something to do, to see if it can be done and the fact that I can get a new 5 hp front tine tiller for $249 at my local Southern States Coop.

I did think about getting a new engine for MY tiller, the one with the hole in the block, because it is a lot heavier frame and tine and gear wise than most of the ones I see today, but I am not sure really whatI am going to do. But I gotta do something soon because I need it to till inbetween the rows in the garden one more time to knock out the weeds so I can put down preen before they get out of hand
