Two more hydraulic questions

I was told by the hydraulic shop that the two fittings from the PTO pump are NPT. Can you confirm this? A regular NPT fittings go in okay but those O rings at the bottom make me question.

The other question is I just install the fluid tank behind the seat. Being so high, I hope it won't cause any flow problem. It was really the only practical location to install it.

you need to take what I am about to say with a grain of salt, but this is what I think.. I dont think you fittings are NPT. or National Pipe Thread, which is a tapered thread. I think your fittings are what is called ORB or O Ring Boss. I believe them to be a straight pitch thread..the size may be the same but the tapered vs the straight will likely leak. Hopefully someone will come on here and either confirm what I have just told you or deny it. but in any case this will bump up your thread and get more attention Good Luck.

Here is data from a Prince pump.

3/4" NPT adapter for outlet port and a steel plug for one outlet port.

The hydraulic shop may have been refering to the female swivel ends of the adapters installed in the pump. THEY look like NPT. The male ends going into the pump (hard to tell with them installed) look like ORB.
