In Winter I operate my Ford 1520 on my 800' long driveway, which does not exceed 5% slope.
It's unpaved, and rather rough.
So first snow of the season, instead of the snow-hurler, I drop the bucket in forward gear, and mash the snow down, to form a surface the snow-blower can run on (so it doesn't snag rocks, etc).
The worst problem is swirling snow blowing back, and freezing my face off. It has given me a complexion of permanent embarrassment.
So I'm shopping for a tractor with heated enclosure, & rear wiper.
This is my first tractor, I have nothing to compare it to. But if / when I buy new, I'll be sure to get it w/ turf tread.
