Turf Model Pedal Start

I just purchased a 2002 Gator TX Turf model (PIN W00TURF005700) with the pedal start. Hopefully, I'll get used to its lack of power. Does anyone know if there is any adjustment that can be made to the pedal start mechanism that might make "crawl" speed smoother? It's hard to go at a slow pace without the engine turning off and on.
